Will There Be an X29? If So, When?

QUESTION

We are interested in an ICD-10 experimental grouper for version 29. We see that you have one for X28. Will you do one for X29? If so, when?

ANSWER

CMS hasn't released v29 for ICD-10 yet. It is built and we're trying to persuade them to post it on their site as early in January as they are back to work. 10 minutes after they've done that, we can be the first to offer X29, but we can't do so before.

  1. As of today, the government still has not done the release, so we cannot release yet.

  2. Any news on the v29 for ICD-10? When will the grouper support ICD10 codes?
    Thank you.

  3. Our R&D team starting working on X29 yesterday; we hope to have X29 for delivery to customers within two weeks. Our current target date is March 27th, 2012.

  4. Another question: is it possible for you to provide a mapping table between the DRG code generated by your DLL and the international classification of diagnostic groups?
As far as I can see in your CSV file (f29wgts.csv), the first column is the DRG code, which are numbers from 1 to 999. The latest version of the International DRG Groups have codes like, for example: A1010, B1050, F3041, etc.
Do you have a mapping table (CSV file) available for this?

  5. The International DRG Groups I'm talking about is the AR-DRG v6.0 codes, available here: http://www.nzhis.govt.nz/moh.nsf/pagesns/601

    Thank you.
